Olympians Urge on Iran to Prevent Death Sentence of Champion Boxer

Over 20 Olympic champions, mentors and other global sports figures have signed a statement calling for a end to the death penalty of a boxing champion and coach, who is facing execution in the nation.

Growing Global Anger

Amid growing international outrage over the country's expanding employment of the death penalty as a means of repression, the strongly worded letter denounces the government's verdict to uphold the execution order of the boxing champion.
