The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
